The 'dog'

So my momma was talking on da phone to Uncle Tommy last night. And while her was talking, her decided to fo to da front yard to turn off da water sprinkler (we ain't had NO rain in furever).   Well, her is getting ready to go thru OUR gate.....and her sees a loose 'dog' hanging out by da gate (it was kinda getting dark by this time)
Uncle Tommy is talking away .....prolly nothing too important anyway......and my momma is peering at the 'dog'.....when all of a sudden da 'dog' turns and looks at her with its uber creepy beady eyes and snarl teeths.....My momma YELLS "Possum!!!" into da phone !!
Yeppers, it was one of those creatures straight from H-e-double hockey sticks, staring my momma down.  (You might remember that da possums creep my momma out more than ANYTHING!!! And how we had to abandon our house when one of them was in our attic)

Her was entirely too traumatized about da whole event.. her still gets da creepers thinking bout it...so I took da liberty of drawing a foto of da scene.  (I think it is pretty lifelike, if I do say so myself)

Anyone know a possum hitman we can call???

Did you all bark like lunatics and scare the evil possum away??

Just leave some beer and cheetos out on your porch. Puddles will zoom in in her laundry basket and EXTERMINATE while your momma is at work today! That's what we'd do...

We can send Thunder, he cornered one of those critters once, and may even have taken a bite or two. Between him and Puddles, your Mom would have no more worries.

We don't like Possums either. They are really creapy looking. Cleo is a pretty good snake hunter but she has not tackled a possum yet. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

That drawing was so life like, it scared the hoohaas out of me and mom! Mom hates Possum's... they made one of her horses very very sick when she was a young girl. I hope it goes away soon!

Mom and I agree with you possums are beady eyed and not very smart.
We were going to suggest you call Puddles but evidently she isn't allowed to 'possum hunt.

Mama has this same phobia and has been known to SCREAM and wake the whole neighborhood when she sees one of those creatures of the night. We have to walk through our backyard to get from the garage to the back door. Whenever my mom walks through the yard at night she is sure there is a possum lurking in the shadows - if she hears a leaf rustling or any kind of strange sound, she freaks out and going running into the house. She has now successfully passed her fear on to my little sister. Papa is none to happy with her about this ...he refers to her as crazy, but then again he thinks possums are cute so who is the real crazy one!

My sister, Stanzie, can take care of that for your Mom. She has a pretty good record and she works for kibble!

LOL, Wyatt's comment made me laugh. Our Eva is like his sister, Stanzie. Although Eva hasn't seen any possum before (we don't have it here), I'm sure she will do a good job like what she does to those kitties and squirrels at home. Oh yes, she works for kibble too!!!

I am not the guy to help you out....I would probably try to make friends with him and feed him....Miss Puddles however seems to like this kind of thing....I'm just sayin'....

Oh Minna, your poor Mommy. Is she still out?
Aunt Judy's pack cornerd one of them one time and almost tore it to pieces. If Puddles can't help, I could send them right over. They live in League City and could be there in less than an hour!!

We are gonna go to the Arthrities Walk in Bay Area on Saturday to work the ATDR booth and visit with our friends with DROH. Wish you and Pickles could bring your MOM.
