My momma got this in an email....so you may have seen it befores.....butt her thought this doggie is so cute!

Can't Teach a Dachshund New Tricks

Actually around OUR house, you can't teach a dachshund ANY Tricks.

 My momma read all about Sugar's 10 Second Treat Contest and decided that one of us should try to pawticipate. (poor woman is always in denial about our training capabilities)

So my momma gets us all out in da backyard and exclaims "Who wants to learn a new Trick?"

Well, dat went over like a lead balloon.....and we all scattered and resumed our more impawtent dachshund outdoor activities.   Butt, my sissie Ditto is always kind of a suck-up    willing pawticipant when my momma has some ideas fur us.......so Ditto decided to gives it a try.

Now da point of this Trick is to leaves a milkbone, or some other tasty treat on da end of your nose until da human says you can eat it.  (yeah, right)

So here is my momma, loading up Ditto's nose fur da trick........

Ummmmmm, Momma......I think da milkbone is supposed to be on her NOSE!

Well, it looks like it is getting a little closer to the target............note that this is afters about 87 tries

Oops....milkbone on da ground!  Better eats it Quick!

Sigh.  My momma finally gaves up.   Her said she was skeered Ditto would get fats, eating all da milkbones that was supposed to be staying on her nose.

Ditto said all in all, this was not a bad activity, since her got to eat all those practice bones....butt next time her would prefer using da liver treats!!

We tried, Sugar!   Butt we are obviously not as talented as your sweet self is!
